Shoulder Pain
Osteopathy for Shoulder Pain
Shoulder pain is common and can be caused by poor posture at work, trauma, sports or sleeping awkwardly. The shoulder is also prone to injury due to the demands and forces that we put through it on a daily basis. Some of the reasons for shoulder pain include;
- rotator cuff dysfunction
- frozen shoulder
- biceps tendonitis
- acromioclavicular (A/C) joint dysfunction
- osteoarthritis
- poor posture
- hypermobility/instability of the shoulder
Osteopathy can be very effective in easing pain, improving mobility and maintaining function using techniques such as joint manipulation, articulation, stretching and soft tissue massage.
