Neck pain
Osteopathy for Neck pain
Neck pain is a common complaint and can be caused by poor posture at work, trauma or whiplash injury, sports or sleeping awkwardly due to inadequate pillow support.
The neck is vulnerable to injury due to its extreme ranges of motion and the demands that are placed upon it. Pain may radiate from the neck to the head causing headaches. It can also radiate down into the shoulder and arm causing weakness in the arm.
Osteopathic techniques such as joint manipulation, articulation, stretching and soft tissue massage can be very effective in easing pain, improving mobility and maintaining function.
