Emma Robinson M.Ost
Where did you train to be an osteopath?
I completed a four year Masters in Osteopathy from the renowned British School of Osteopathy (now known as University College of Osteopathy) in London.
I am a registered member of the General Osteopathic Council and am fully insured.
Why did you decide to become an osteopath?
My interest in osteopathy and how the human body has the ability to heal itself naturally was sparked when I qualified as a yoga and pilates teacher. I wanted to understand more so I trained to be an osteopath. I love the osteopathic philosophy of natural healing and being able to help people get back to living a pain free life.
What's your treatment style like?
I’m wellness based and my treatment approach is hands on. I work in collaboration with my patients to provide appropriate advice, exercises and lifestyle tips to facilitate health and well-being. It is very much about working with my patients to find what will work best for them and then putting a treatment plan in place to achieve the best results.
Name a fun fact someone might not know about you?
A freaky fact is that I have no 11th and 12th rib cartilage. This is from my days of doing yoga in India with some very enthusiastic teachers!
What do you do to relax?
I love cross country running, while listening to science podcasts. I also love cooking and walking my dogs.
The Jungle Book and The Shining - depending on what sort of day it has been.
Favourite travel destination?
It's a toss up between Thailand and Sri Lanka – gorgeous people, good vibes and AMAZING food!
